"Boom Boom"

Boom Boom started off at 7 months on the right paw.... She went Best In Sweeps at the Houston Keeshond Club and at the supported entry she was Best Of Winners, Best Opp Sex for a 3pt major. Boom Boom hopes to return to the ring this spring after a lllooonnnggg growing up phase. Boom Boom has been on a long break from the show ring, but now she's back. She's been shown 3 times, 3 different weekends and she was undefeated picking up 9 more points and 2 majors. Boom Boom heads to CA for her national competitions. She goes Winners Bitch to complete her title and helps her mom win Brood bitch @ both specialties. She also goes BOS to her brother in Maturity. OFA Good, OFA Elbows and OFA Knees.

Sadly, Boom Boom will not get to carry on in our line of dogs her exquisite type. It has taken me so long to post this on my page, I guess as a denial of sorts, that she is really gone. Boom Boom was doing nothing special that afternoon, just waiting in the garden with the other females for her dinnertime. I glanced out on my way into the breezeway and saw a still, lifeless body. I practically broke my nose trying to get through the door to her, I knew she must be gone to be laying like that peacefully on her side. No sign of trauma, no marks, no saliva, no feces, no vomit, no traces of why. I took her body the next morning to a diagnostic necropsy facility at Clemson University. The results, were not conclusive, but they found evidence of a hemorrhage in the thymic tissue. They guessed that due to the location, the blood impaired cardiac function. No evidence of trauma or evidence of hemorrhage in other tissues to support rodenticide toxicity, however, we did submit samples for that to be sure. No infectious disease process and the brain and remaining organs were completely normal. It is always difficult to lose a doggie friend, but to lose a young one can be a crushing blow. Especially when you provide your dogs with such a safe and clean environment. So, goodbye my baby Boomie.
