Hello, I am Sherry Labonte; this page is devoted to the beautiful Trumpet keeshond we named Joy, however we need to establish one thing, that she is not "my" dog, but rather I am "her" person!

My husband and I had been planning to get a new companion dog, so did much research on which breed, and then further research on reputable breeders led us to Beth and she came highly recommended. Joy aka Trumpet's Diamonds are Forever is our first, but not our last keeshond. My friend Susan Faretra and I drove from New Hampshire to Memphis to meet Beth and pick up the darling little fur ball, and I was very impressed with Beth and her dogs. Joy is a beautiful, healthy, happy little girl, very outgoing and greets everyone; she's sure they're all there just to see her any ways!

Beth has been there when I had questions about the breed and veterinary care, and she keep us updated with any news pertinent to the breed. I would highly recommend both Beth and her dogs and would definitely make that trip to Memphis again to own one of Beth's dogs. We had a wonderful trip, Joy was very good the entire drive home, and loves riding in the car to this day. The trip proved to be a great way to bond with her. It was wonderful to meet Beth and all her beautiful "kids". Beth obviously puts her whole heart into breeding and caring for her dogs, and it shows. We were all near tears seeing Joy running to her for a last cuddle.

At the tender age of 6 months Joy was "discovered" by our obedience trainer as a potential Cover Girl. We participated in a photo shoot for the Pet Edge Catalog and she was on the fall catalog cover. Ever the performer, she seemed to know what she was there to do, which of course was to be the center of attention.

We enjoy agility as a fun activity to do together, although often Joy has her own agenda. She serves as the comic relief at times, going out of her way to use a favorite piece of equipment across the course instead of the nearby one she is being directed to! She is fearless in learning new obstacles, each new, more difficult one becoming her favorite.

Joy goes every where with me, including to the office, and she assumes all the clients are there to see her. She is an important part of our office, our life and is my best buddy!

cheers,

Sherry Labonte and Joy
